'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' hits a quarter billion worldwide

Rounding up the weekend numbers, including yesterday's, the total for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's worldwide intake so far has surpassed a quarter of a billion.

This total factors in the $68.5 million opening day (which set a record for biggest Wednesday opening) and weekend.
According to Gossip Cop, "Eclipse will rake in an estimated $89 million for the holiday weekend," putting it at $161 million so far on the domestic front. "Internationally, since opening in June 30, Eclipse has grossed an estimated $100.2 million from 42 territories," the site reports.

Wowza! Did you expect anything less, though? It'll be interesting to see whether the weekend will have broken any (additional) records . .
