The Twilight Saga : Eclipse in a word AMAZING!!!!

Well, I've been & was blown away!  I have been looking 4ward 2 The Twilight Saga : Eclipse film hitting the BIG screen & I was not dissapointed at all!  My ONLY issue was the fact that it was not LONG enough!  I do feel that Rosenberg & Slade did gr8 jobs @ representing the story from book to screen, & that it was on par with my images & emotions when reading the book.  I will B doing some research on-line just 2 see what was cut from the final version of the film.  In the meantime,I have posted an early review here of the rough cut that lucky fans got 2 see when they were chosen as the Oprah Eclipse special, so see if anything was changed from what us viewers can recall.  I must say that as I watched the film, I thought how on earth will they get all of the storyline in here,as so much was happening & in a way that gave each pivotal part enough screen time, but amazinly it all fused 2gether very well.

Now, as 4 the lead roles, all I can say is that Edward was way HOT in this film, & as a friend said 2 me, he was very dreamy & so romantic, as we all know from this book  (note: all of the non-romantics feel free to puke LOL).  In  word or 2, GO TEAM EDWARD (& boy did he GO near the end!) Bella looked fine & all of the previous wig neg talk was a not an issue 4 me, as I wasn't all that fussed on her hair/wig, besides quite a few of them wear wigs, so no drama really!   4 all of Team Jacob fans they would not have been dissapointed, with plenty of shitless moments, & even a fully nude scene, but only showing a partial section of his but!  Oh, well, better luck next time i guess!  The Cuulen family was gr8 as well, & it was good 2 sse the back-story 2 Rosalie & Jasper, done very well & given the right amount of screen time!

I loved the sets & scenes as well, & the opening treatment BTW was way hot.  I just can't wait 2 see it again!  Talking of opening scenes, Xavier was a gr8 choice 4 the role of Riley, so go our Oz actors!  I also loved this current verson of the Cullen house, & how HOT was Edward's room with the bed n all?  HOTTER was the bedroom scene with all of the .... well U will have 2 see 4 urselves!

Lastly, I have just watched the Wyck interview with Collider.com & there is at least 3 or 4 scenes, either longer versions or scenes that were not servicing the story, but was still loved in the book, so they will be adding them 2 the DVD release!  I am already eagerly awaiting this happening!!  On the point of the future Twilight Saga series 5 disc box set, there won't be any extra scenes etc., as they have already been covered in the double edition DVDs & Bluerays.  So, all of us faithful fans won't feel ripped off in any way!  But, the 5 DVD set that will happen in 2 years or so time sounds promosing non-the-less!

He also touched on Breaking Dawn & how long that the 2 films will actually go 4, & they have never felt the pressure 2 cut the film to one & a half hours, & have just fluked the fact that the films have gone 4 roughly 2 + hours.  So, in a nutshell, they want to stay faithful to the fans & the books, at the same time getting a balance, ensuring that they stay true 2 the core elements of the books, but in a more condensed way.

I'm signing off 4 now, only 2 be dreaming away as I recount fave scenes in my head!

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' opening to record number of theaters

It seems that this week's opening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is already setting records.

Gossip Cop reports that the number of theaters which Eclipse is debuting at tonight and tomorrow is higher than the prior record set by Iron Man 2's release.
Eclipse is opening to 4,416 screens across the country (this number doesn't necessarily reflect the number of midnight opening showings), and this is higher than Iron Man 2's prior record-setting 4,380 screen opening.
This will certainly serve to accommodate a larger crowd of filmgoers, but it'll be interesting to see whether the vast number of screens showing the film will affect the sort of box office calculations that measure intake per screen. Knowing this fandom, though, chances are it'll only help that there are more screens to view Eclipse on!

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' earns $30 million in midnight showing, beats 'New Moon' record

The first box office numbers from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are in from the midnight showing last night, and they are record-breaking.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, according to Gossip Cop and Entertainment Weekly, has brought in a record $30 million in midnight showing tickets, beating the prior record set by TheTwilight Saga: New Moon of $26.27 million.
This is the second record set by Eclipse, and it's only just been released in the United States last night (the first being the number of theaters showing the film across the country).
This leaves open the question as to whether Eclipse's total opening day will surpass the record set by The Twilight Saga: New Moon of $72.7 million.
Domestically, Eclipse is expected to beat New Moon's weekend intake, but the opening day totals are the highest in Hollywood history, so it's a tough feat. At this pace, though, it is certainly within reach!
Big day for Twilight fans! Another day, another record set. At the risk of using a bad pun . . . how about that apple?

UPDATE: Eclipse also beat the IMAX midnight record, as Larry Richman with PROnetworks points out, with "$1M at 192 locations beating the recordholder Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with $959K."

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' predicted to beat 'New Moon' opening weekend numbers

All along - during the downtime between The Twilight Saga: New Moon's release and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's - fans have been asking this question: will The Twilight Saga: Eclipse surpass the incredible numbers set forth by The Twilight Saga: New Moon?

No doubt, the biggest achievement of New Moon in the box office was to set the record for biggest opening day ever. So, the topic has definitely lingered as to whether the summer Eclipse showing will top that record.
Also, the staggering opening weekend numbers (3rd highest ever) for New Moon reached $140.7 million in the first three days. So, whether Eclipse will eclipse New Moon's opening weekend figures is prominent as well.
According to TheWrap.com, industry predictions give the nod to Eclipse in at least the second portion of the inquiry.
Conservative forecasts predict the PG-13-rated film will gross $150 million domestically in its first six days of release, spanning through the holiday weekend. That would usurp the $142.8 million three-day opening for “New Moon” last November. “Eclipse,” which returns the core cast of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will also debut in 41 foreign territories this weekend. “We hope our opening day will be bigger on opening day because our audience isn’t getting up for school,” noted Summit distribution chief Richie Fay.

Only a few days until we know. For now, what fans seem to be doing to effectuate their desire to see Eclipse break records is pre-ordering midnight release tickets (which has put Eclipse atop advance ticket sales lists) and planning to see the film more than once during opening weekend.

Are you doing the same? Do you care how Eclipse fares in the box office, and why or why not? Does it speak to the validity of the fandom in any way that Eclipse stands to usurp its own stellar figures? Any other thoughts?

Kristen Stewart promotes 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' on 'Late Show' despite wonky David Letterman

Kristen Stewart is a mass of class, and that fact has never been clearer than tonight after she appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman to try and promote The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

From the very start, the interview was awkward, and while Kristen Stewart looked beautiful (bringing another fire-and-ice-themed one-armed number) with her brand new 'do, David Letterman didn't seem to know much about the Twilight series at all. So, Kristen Stewart was stuck answering lame questions like "How many have there been?" and "You're not a vampire yourself in the movies?" Still, Kristen Stewart held her own and made a pun or two to keep the conversation flowing.
After squeezing in an account of her promotional travels for Eclipse with co-star Taylor Lautner, David Letterman then went on to bring adorable photographs of Stewart's family's pet wolf-dogs to the fore. Only, somehow the conversation became a political debate about the validity of protectionist efforts for gray wolves (David Letterman's argument being that the destruction of endangered species is acceptable when farm cattle are in question - so as not to "eradicate the cattle industry" - and Kristen Stewart's being that perhaps the machine gun slaughtering of said wolves by helicopter is undesirable). For more on this issue, please see here. Gracefully, Kristen Stewart settled the debate by saying, "I'll take them, they can come and live in my backyard."
She went on to introduce an Eclipse clip - the "doesn't he have a shirt?" clip - and he once again purveyed his lack of information (or, seemingly, interest) about the Saga. As one Twitterer put it, "Kristen proves her acting prowess when pretending to think Letterman's jokes are funny."
Taylor Lautner is scheduled to appear on the show tomorrow, unfortunately. Anyone have Jon Stewart or Jimmy Fallon on speed dial?
